The way to make marten has to be humane. These animals are under protection
Martens are protected species. You must know that this mammal belongs to the timid and cautious animals, and at the same time legally protected in Poland. It is impossible to scare them off if they inhabit your property in a sudden or even life-threatening way. Animal protection aside, this is inhumane and such behavior should not be the case.
The marten method will work, but you need to recognize them first
Before you decide to “lead” the marten out of the property, make sure that you have recognized or recognized this animal well. Beech marten is about 50 cm long, not counting the tail, which can be quite long and fluffy. Its characteristic feature is a bifurcated white spot on the neck reaching up to the front paws. Another attribute is also striking, as you will recognize it by its sharp teeth, strong legs and massive head.
The marten method – a humane and safe trick that will allow them to leave the property
If the problem of marten in your home, garage or hen house recurs regularly, it is worth spending a little more money and buying a live fish feed. This method will also work for other animals, such as e.g. a fox stealing eggs from a henhouse. Marten live traps are special metal devices whose simple structure and solid steel structure guarantee high effectiveness of this solution. The complicated structure of the live trap is responsible for catching the marten almost immediately. This humane method allows the marten to be safely transported to a place far from our home, where it will begin a new life. So that the martens do not come back – take them at least 10 km from their place of residence.
