Katarzyna Żak was born in 1963 in Toruń. She graduated from the State Higher School of Theater in Wrocław. She began her career with her debut in the play “The Magician of Lublin” directed by Jan Szurmiej at the Współczesny Theater in Wrocław. On the screens, viewers could admire her in 1990 in the film “Seychelles”, the directorial debut of Bogusław Linda. However, she gained the greatest recognition thanks to the series “Miodowe lata” and “”.
