The director of Polish Radio For Foreigners, Andrzej Rybałt, explained to the Information Radio Agency that Roskomnadzor demanded that Polish Radio for Foreigners remove publications on Russia’s losses in the war with Ukraine.

– The authorities subordinate to Putin did not like the truth reported by the Russian Section of Polish Radio for Foreigners – said Rybałt. He noted that the Russian services asked for the removal of information on the number of casualties of the Russian army in Ukraine. Meanwhile, journalists of the Polish Radio for Foreigners provided the information after having verified it in many sources.

Polish Radio for Foreigners did not respond to Roskomnadzor’s demands, considering that it could be a kind of hidden provocation on the part of the Russian government agency. Andrzej Rybałt added that the broadcasts of Polish Radio for Foreigners in Russian are still available on medium wave. The director noted that the content created in Russian by Polish Radio for Foreigners on the Internet will still be available to recipients in Ukraine or Belarus.

Polish Radio for Foreigners is to inform about events in Poland, the assumptions of Polish foreign policy, and provide news on economic topics, including business and foreign investments. The beginnings date back to the 1930s, when in 1936 Polish Radio began broadcasting short programs in Polish and English.From 2017, it broadcasts its programs daily in six languages: Polish, English, Belarusian, German, Russian and Ukrainian.
