Manuco returns to the theater to remember that ‘nobody takes away what he danced’

After two long years, Manuco returns to the Guayaquil stages to celebrate the world theater day, whose date is commemorated on March 27. the protagonist of Nobody takes away what I danced seizes the The Boot Roomon the Salado boardwalk, with theatrical performances that run until Sunday 27.

This beloved elderly character, who has also brought smiles to many, is personified by the actor and choreographer Lucho Mueckay, who considers that the love for Manuco has been granted by the public.

Nobody takes away what I danced introduces Manuco, a man who at 90 years of age feels in the prime of youth. After being abandoned by his family in a nursing home, he runs away to make mischief with new friends. He dances, sings, plays and fully enjoys this latest prank that takes him to the theater, where he relives a series of experiences that he shares with his heart and a series of laughs.

And it is that this character has faced every adversity with humor. “Sometimes we don’t see humor as a serious theatrical possibility… and Manuco assumes humor as a possibility of saying ‘despite everything, life goes on’”Mueckay thinks.

The monologue hopes to give an inspiring message that the candid Manuco brings as an example of life. “Despite his age and abandonment problems, he needs other people”, adds the artist.
