Film premieres, or what’s new?
What’s new in theaters this week? Film premieres include “March ’68”, set in Warsaw. Students are protesting against the unlawful expulsion of their colleagues from universities and in defense of the “Dziady” posters, which were staged at the National Theater by Kazimierz Dejmek. Among the protesting youth are also Hania (Vanessa Aleksander) and Janek (Ignacy Liss). Their families are on both sides of the March barricade. The young, madly in love with each other, like in Shakespeare’s drama Romeo and Juliet, in a country overwhelmed by rebellion, fight for their affection.
Another production that will appear on the big screen is the Polish comedy “Jakoś to jest”. The animated “Zając Max: Misja pisanka” and “Wielka Freedom” will also premiere on March 25 – awarded in Cannes in the Un Certain Regard review and two European Film Awards.
