Why are our lips dry? The reasons may lie not only in the weather

Dry lips can also be the result of dehydration. Not consuming enough fluids can result in mouth, and then the skin becomes taut and begins to crack. An equally common problem is the wrong choice of cosmetics. It is worth checking whether our lip balm, in the first positions in the composition, has nourishing substances and not fragrances. However, not only lipstick can lead to dry mouth, but also mouthwash and even toothpaste. Therefore, it is recommended that you discontinue a new cosmetic or preparation for at least a week to see if the symptoms subside.

The best cosmetic for dry lips is a homemade lotion

If you want to be completely sure of the composition of the lip balm, it is best if you prepare it yourself. Many of the products needed to prepare it are in the kitchen. This balm is a mixture of caring, antibacterial and protective properties. You should prepare:

• a tablespoon of coconut oil,
• 1/2 tbsp cocoa butter
• 1/2 tbsp shea butter
• 1/2 teaspoon of honey
• 1/3 teaspoon of liquid vitamin E
• 1/2 tablespoon of natural cocoa powder or cinnamon.

Dissolve all ingredients in a water bath until combined. Then we pour the liquid into a small, closed container. We leave it to cool down for about an hour. After this time, the balm is ready for use.
