If you are one of the big fans of the Roy family and its series Succession, sure you will be glad to know that in autumn this intense series will return with its third season on HBO Spain. An award-winning series created by Jesse Armstrong, whose second season earned a total of 7 Emmys®, including Best Drama Series.
Another series that has suffered a stoppage due to the coronavirus pandemic and that will return to tell us eThe development of the civil war of the Roy family, with all its members taking sides after Kendall betrayed his father. Succession is a brilliant series that tells us about power, politics and family as told from the point of view of an aging media mogul and his four children.
A terrible second season
The second season it ended almost two years ago (Spoiler beware: don’t go on if you haven’t seen the second part) and it ended with Kendall throwing his father Logan under the bus before he had a chance to do the same to him. At a press conference, Kendall surprised everyone by recounting her father’s shady actions and intrigues. “The truth is that my father is an evil presence, a bully and a liar,” he explained. “Today I have with me copies of records that show their personal signatures,” concluded the complicated son.
Logan Roy will begin this third season in a dangerous situation in which you will have to fight to maintain your family, political and financial alliances. The tension will escalate when the irreconcilable business battle threatens to cause a real civil war in the family.
What will happen in this third season?
For now, the only thing we know from the teaser that is the first official preview of the third season, is that before anyone takes up arms for Logan (Brian Cox) or Kendall (Jeremy Strong), the other members of the Roy family want to know exactly what they can win.
At the center of that dispute will be Shiv (Sarah Snook), whose loyalty seems to depend on who can make a better deal for her. In the teaser too a threat from Tom to Cousin Greg is implied promising “Logan is going to shoot a million poisonous spiders at your penis.”
This season the cast will feature actors Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Peter Friedman, J. Smith Cameron, Dagmara Dominczyk, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, What’s more, Hiam Abbass, Arian Moayed, Harriet Walter and James Cromwell reprise their roles in this third season, which also includes Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae, Adrien Brody, and Hope Davis.
We’ll still have to wait for fall to find out what will happen in the third season of this series which is considered one of the best on HBO.
