An interesting use for potatoes can be when cleaning windows or cleaning mirror surfaces in homes. This trick is not only effective but also ecological. It’s very easy to make and you need one raw potato for it. Cut it in half and wipe the windows and mirrors in the house with one of the halves. When you’re done, remove any excess juice that is left on the glass and clean the surface with a clean microfiber cloth. This method will make the surface of mirrors or windows shine, and you will not use chemicals. In addition, this method can also be useful when cleaning e.g. swimming goggles or ski goggles.

Raw potatoes can also be used to clean car windows. The results can be really permanent, as this product creates a natural barrier, and more precisely, the starch contained in it. Glass becomes more resistant to dirt and the panes do not “evaporate” as quickly.
