The Renova Foundation holds its first entrepreneurship fair with a business strengthening program that has women victims of violence, rehabilitation centers in the city of Guayaquil and a group of Afro-Ecuadorians behind them.
This entrepreneurs fair, which also aims to promote economic reactivation and the inclusion of vulnerable groups, will be held today, Saturday 30 and Sunday October 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., in the El Fortín esplanade located in the Malecón Simón Bolívar, at the height of Loja street.
A total of 30 ventures will be exhibited and seek to contribute to the elimination of prejudice, racism and discrimination by revitalizing, revaluing and making visible the Afro-Ecuadorian culture and roots, promoting their identity, knowledge, ancestral knowledge.
During the fair, exponents of the different Afro-descendant artistic-cultural manifestations will be staged, among them the marimba (intangible heritage of humanity), and other guest artists from various musical genres such as La Chicho and La Kutty who interpret choke salsa.
The beneficiaries of the “Renóvate Mujer” program of the Renova Foundation have developed projects to reinsert victims of physical, verbal or psychological violence and will offer several of their products such as handmade sweets, fomix dolls, pajamas, accessories, rompope and Christmas articles, elaborated made in the Social Rehabilitation Centers of the city, in different workshops as part of their educational program.
