Szczecin, the turn of winter and spring. The body of a young woman is found in the icy water on the bank of the Oder. The investigation into this case is carried out by Katarzyna Zawieja (played by Katarzyna Wajda), a policewoman in her thirties who does not give up easily. It quickly turns out that the investigation is not only about murder – shortly before her death, the woman gave birth to a child. The question is, where is it located, is it alive? The search for a baby becomes for the main character a strong, though initially unconscious, impulse to confront her own situation: a single mother, a perfect policewoman, and above all – a woman in a crisis after her husband’s death. Fighting for a child will turn out to be a fight for herself.
Katarzyna Wajda stars in the series, and Bartek Kotschedoff, Juliusz Chrząstowski, Cezary Łukaszewicz, Sebastian Fabijański, Bogusław Linda, Andrzej Grabowski, Małgorzata Gorol, Agnieszka Pilaszewska, Monika Krzywkowska, Piotr Żurawski, Ewa Skibińska and Marcelina Stępkowska will appear in the other roles. The series was directed by Xawery Żuławski, based on a script by Marta Szymanek.
On Friday, April 1, two episodes will appear on HBO Max, and subsequent episodes will debut two each week. The series will air on HBO on May 1.
