Ancizar, the Colombian artist who seeks to win over the Ecuadorian public with his music

I wish you luck is the most recent musical introduction letter for Ecuador by the Colombian singer Ancise28, who addresses the importance of keeping good memories when a love relationship ends.

“It is a song that talks about a love breakup. It is a true story. I always try to make all my music as sincere as possible, I try in this type of situation to do catharsis with my music, because I also think it’s an easier way for people to connect with the story and that they can feel in one way or another what one feels as an artist”, he explains.

The theme, an urban pop, arises from his own experience, since the five-year relationship he had ended. In the song there are no reproaches but on the contrary, it is about apologizing for the bad situations that occurred in one way or another, wishing luck to the person who “has been very important for one” and as a third point, he says, to Despite the existence of love in the couple, they are not destined to be together.

The video clip, which has more than 300,000 views, was recorded in Mexico City. “I find it very interesting to be able to show different locations. We wanted to convey that feeling of nostalgia, of loneliness that remains after a tusa (end of a relationship), as we say here in Colombia…”, says the artist.

For this 2022, in addition to I wish you luck, the Colombian is also getting ready for the next premiere of A bottle, which is scheduled for mid-April, and plans to release a monthly song over the course of the year. In addition, as part of the schedule, he plans to collaborate with other artists.

Mar Rendón: Each artist has a different point of view on love

He has worked with colleagues from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, but he has pending with Ecuador. “I have never had the opportunity to collaborate with someone from Ecuador. Another of the things that I have been talking about a lot with my work team is that since some things are moving there (in Ecuador) well, then I would love to collaborate with an artist from Ecuador…”, he points out.

For this year he does not rule out the possibility of returning to Ecuador, he has been twice in Ecuadorian territory with his music, the first time was in 2017.

His origins

He is originally from the Colombian city of Manizales. His name and surnames are Ancizar Ramírez Duque, but in the artistic field he calls himself Ancizar, whose name he inherited from his father. “I was looking for a stage name for a long time and I couldn’t think of it, and finally I said: ‘Well, since I have a quite different name’… Besides, I wear it with great pride because it is my father’s name, so why am I going to change it? It seemed like a good option to leave it as a stage name…”, he explains.

He is the first artist in the family, his parents are lawyers, his uncles are engineers, but there are no musicians in his immediate environment. “Since school I always liked it, I wrote songs since I was in eighth grade, around 15 years old I started writing my first songs, it can be said that my musical career began as a composer…”, he comments.

While he was doing his university studies when he was about 20 years old, in Bogotá met the producer Juan Carlos Rivas Camargo, who has worked hand in hand with Shakira, Carlos Vives, Maía, among others. “When I showed the songs to him (Juan Carlos) I had the intention that he show his artists, I always saw myself as a composer, I never imagined that I could sing, then he himself told me: ‘Ancizar, but if I hear you singing here why don’t you dare to record your first song… and he helped me with this whole process”, he says.

“We recorded that first song, my parents were always very reluctant to the subject, especially my dad at the beginning and at the moment we released this first song, the song began to become very viral at the level of my hometown, Manizales, the stations began to play it, it played about three, four times a day in the station that my father liked and finally they began to be convinced and I gradually gained their support…”, he adds.

After that, he began to record more songs with Tigo Music and as part of this process came the support of the artist called Dragón Rojo, from the duo Dragon and Knight; With the first one he made a song and then came the signing of Codiscos and the link with Warner Mexico.

He has composed for several artists, among them, for his compatriot Manuel Turizo. The artist has presented 32 songs, of which 11 are part of the album Jupitosphere. (AND)
