the literary festival Gutun Zuria Bilbaowhich will be held in the Biscayan capital from March 28 to April 2, will for the first time award the BBK-Gutun Zuria Bilbao honorary prize to Basque and international literature, this time to the writer Look Agur Meabe and the Greek writer Theodor Kallifatides.
The BBK Gutun Zuria Bilbao award, in the form of a makila of honour, will go this year to Miren Agur Meabe and Theodor Kallifatides. Likewise, the prize will offer the winners a carte blanche that will symbolize a project of their interest for the next edition.
As a complement to this award and in future editions, BBK and the Book Chamber will award a second prize for the translation into Basque of an international work by a renowned author of prestige in the next edition and its dissemination among school audiences.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony on March 29.
