Rosalía has premiered ‘hentai‘, the fourth and last preview of what will be his third studio album, ‘mommy‘, whose release is scheduled for this Friday, March 18. A day earlier, on Thursday, the singer will star in a TikTok live show in which she will unveil the 14 songs from her new album.
‘Hentai’ thus joins the other songs that the Catalan artist had already previewed from her new work, such as ‘Saoko‘, ‘Fame‘ and ‘Chicken Teriyaki’. On this occasion, however, Rosalía leaves Latin rhythms aside and presents a more melodic and intimate songin which only the piano accompanies her voice.
The lyrics of the songthat the artist had already advanced -in a video that you can see under these lines- and has been the most commented, it presents verses like “I want you to ride, like my bikegive me a Spike mode tape”, “I beat it until it was mounted, the second thing is to screw you, the first thing is God” or “in love with your gun, red poppy, crash that wave, it almost controls me”.
Lasting just under three minutes (2:53), ‘Hentai’ -a term that usually refers to the perverted and also to pornographic manga and anime- is accompanied by a video clip directed by Mitch Ryan in which we see Rosalía on a mechanical bull or on a large white bed in the middle of a rodeo stadium.
