Eyebrow lamination is a cosmetic procedure that consists in giving the eyebrows the right shape and fixing them for a longer period of time. Due to the action of thioglycolic acid, the hairs are stiff, shiny and combed in a certain direction. This chemical compound influences the disulfide bonds. In the first stage, he tears them apart and then creates new ones. Thanks to this, the scales on the hairs remain open, and the eyebrows do not “scratch”. The treatment should be renewed every few weeks.
How much is eyebrow lamination at home, and how much is eyebrow lamination in the salon?
Eyebrow lamination in a beauty salon, depending on the location, costs from 100 to 250 zlotys. At home, you can make it with previously purchased cosmetics, which are efficient and do not cost so much. The eyebrow lamination gel with a brush costs about PLN 45, and a disposable sachet with a special product costs about PLN 17. There are also special sets with all the necessary elements for around PLN 100. They are enough for several treatments.
Home eyebrow lamination is easy! How to laminate eyebrows step by step?
Will be needed:
- sticks for applying products,
- eyebrow combs,
- cleaner or degreaser (can be replaced with saline solution),
- glue for hairs,
- activator that prepares the hair by opening their cuticles,
- hair-fixing cosmetic.
Clean the skin around the eyes thoroughly and rinse it with saline. Then comb the hair with a comb or brush and style it upwards with glue. Using a thin applicator, apply an activator that softens the hair. Don’t overdo it, just a little bit is enough to cover the entire eyebrow. Apply a piece of cling film to your eyebrows and press it against your skin and hairs. After 10-15 minutes, wash off the activator with a cotton bud (without using water). Then apply a preparation that fixes the hair. Make sure each of the hairs is carefully covered. Brush your eyebrows with a comb or brush. Wait a moment to reapply cling film over the eyebrows for 10-15 minutes. Now wash the preparation with a dry cotton bud and comb the hair with a clean comb. Use the tweezers to finally adjust the eyebrows. Finally, use a conditioning oil.
