Polish film nominated for an Oscar in 2022
This year’s handout gala is fast approaching. The most important event in the world of cinema will take place on March 27 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Now the work of the Pole will also have a chance to compete for a gold statuette awarded by the American Film Academy. “Dress” was nominated for an Oscar in the short acting film category. The production focuses on the fate of Julia (played by Anna Dzieduszycka). A young woman lives in a small town and works at a roadside motel. The protagonist suffers from dwarfism, which is why she meets the lack of understanding on the part of the community. One day Julia meets a handsome man, a truck driver. The traveler becomes the object of the lonely woman’s fascination.

In addition to Tadeusz Łysiak, among the Poles nominated for the Oscar, there is also a cinematographer,. He is a two-time Academy Award winner, winner in the Best Cinematography category for his work on the productions “Saving Private Ryan” (1998) and “Schindler’s List” (1993). Polish films: nominations for an Oscar
