The beginning of Sharon Stone’s career
Sharon Stone was born in 1958 in the town of Meadville. She entered primary school at the age of five, and ten years later she began her studies at the University of Pennsylvania (she is a famous Mensa member – her IQ is 150). During her studies, she won the title of Miss Crawford County, thanks to which she became a candidate for the Miss Pennsylvania competition. She later moved to New Jersey, and in 1977 she signed her first contract with the New York-based Ford agency. She also lived in Paris and Milan, but eventually decided to pursue an acting career.
“Naked instinct” and health problems
It was her role in Paul Verhoeven’s 1992 film “Naked Instinct” that made Stone an international star, and the cult audition scene is probably known to everyone. Years later, however, the dark sides of this production came to light. The actress talked about the backstage of recording this scene in the autobiography “The Beauty of Living Twice”. Sharon Stone confessed that just before she entered the set, a production person approached her and told her to take off her panties, promising that viewers would not see anything. But when she was invited to a film screening, in a room “full of people who had nothing to do with the project”, something completely different turned out.

After the show, she reportedly slapped the director and later went out and contacted a lawyer. The director was to inform her, however, that there was nothing to say about it. – What choice could I have? I thought and thought until I decided to allow this scene in the film. Why? Because it was correct for the movie and the character. And that’s why I finally did it – she explained years later. In 2001, Sharon Stone suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage, a stroke caused by bleeding on the surface of the brain. Due to the stay in the hospital and the state of her health, the actress decided to take a break from show business until 2003.

Sharon Stone has been married twice. In 1984, she married Michael Greenburg, but divorced him after three years of marriage. Over the years, there has been a lot of media coverage of her numerous love affairs. It was rumored that she was seeing, inter alia, with the Prince of Monaco Albert, David Duchovny, Bill Clinton and Michael Douglas. In 1998, she married Phil Bronstein, with whom they have three adopted sons. They divorced in 2004. After separating from her husband, she has been in several relationships, including with David DeLuis, who is 13 years his junior.
