Recently, Danuta Stenka gave an interview in the program “”, in which she raised the topic. – I heard that I am too old to be a character of my age. I think that in our profession it works a bit differently, because we work with the face. Sometimes we are required to look somehow and somehow not. In our case, sometimes someone will loop and try to stop time at all costs, but I think it has short legs. What for? – she said.

The actress also referred to the disproportion in receiving film roles that she perceives between women and men. She noted, however, that the situation was improving and that more and more directors were also looking for mature women for their productions.

– It is interesting and it is more and more interesting for women. Of course, we are at a disadvantage in this profession. Men can refine their “faces” and start their careers at a later age, because there are interesting roles for them. We always acted mainly as ornaments. I am talking about the camera, of course, because it is completely different in the theater. There are fleshy roles for mature women, but more and more such roles are also appearing in the cinema. Roles that call for a real face. One that harmonizes with the interior. Considering age, the interior can be rich, so the face can also be richer in experience. It does not have to be ironed, light and young – she concluded.
