Journalist affirms that Charly García is well cared for and shows improvement in his health

The Argentine musician Charlie Garciahospitalized for three weeks for a burn on his leg, is “perfectly cared for” and “healing,” journalist Beto Casella tweeted on Sunday, denying, on behalf of his “inner circle,” rumors to the contrary.

“Charly García’s innermost circle reports that he is perfectly cared for by medical personnel, that his burned leg is healing and that he is absolutely contained by his son Migue, his sister and his partner, Mecha. Come on, master!” said Casella.

“Other relatives also surround him. They flatly deny that the singer is ‘only’ going through this trance, as some media published,” he added.

Since his hospitalization on February 22, “it is unknown who are the people in charge” of the 70-year-old musician and composer, the Diario Show site published on Saturday.

On Friday, the television program “Los Socios del Espectáculo” had warned about the “state of abandonment” of the singer-songwriter and that his hospitalization was “being ignored by many people around him.”

A pillar of the Argentine rock movement, García remains hospitalized at the Institute for Diagnosis and Treatment (IADT) after suffering an “extensive burn in a domestic accident,” a JA! Communications statement said on Friday.

García “required multiple cures by the plastic surgery team and has presented clinical complications typical of the case that he has been overcoming. His prognosis is reserved, ”added the part, without specifying the scope of this term.

García’s last public appearance was on October 23, when he received a tribute for his 70th birthday and in what was his first appearance after isolation due to the covid pandemic.

That day, despite a visible difficulty getting around, he sat at the piano in the Kirchner Cultural Center performing several of his classics, accompanied by a band and his friend Fito Páez. (I)
