Former members of the Argentine band Soda Stereo will give a concert in Cuenca

The two members of the defunct Argentine rock band Soda Stereo Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti will arrive in the Azuay capital on April 30. The tour called total thanks announces previous dates in Paraguay and Chile.

The arrival of two of the founders of the Buenos Aires group is due to an initiative of the company Sight Producciones, which plans to hold a festival called basin city of fury, name used in allusion to the song published in 1988 on the album Double life.

The announcement of this event was made on Wednesday morning and will be held at the Alejandro Serrano Aguilar municipal stadium, this will be a paid activity and the price of the tickets has not yet been announced by the organizers. Before this, there will be three days of massive events in parks, squares and emblematic places of the city. Some free, some paid.

The voice of Gustavo Cerati (who died in September 2014) will be replaced by singers such as Adrián Dárgelos (Babasónicos), Andrea Echeverri (Aterciopelados), Benito Cerati, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Fernando Ruiz Díaz, Gustavo Santaolalla, Juanes, León Larregui ( Zoé), Mon Laferte, Richard Coleman, Rubén Albarrán (Café Tacvba), among others.

Francisco Sojos, spokesman for Sight Productions, said that this meeting took place thanks to the “decision and political vision” of Mayor Pedro Palacios, who signed an agreement on behalf of the Municipal Corporation to facilitate their work. All this, Sojos said, has a focus on post-pandemic economic reactivation through an “entertainment ecosystem” with winds of music, gastronomy, arts, sports, among others, with which it hopes to benefit different sectors such as hoteliers, transporters, bars , restaurants, among others.

The project has the support of the Municipality of Cuenca, which endorses the realization from an economic reactivation perspective that will be included in the agenda of festivities already called, april thousand arts. (I)
