- water set aside – leaving the water in the vessel for 24 hours will cause the hard sediment to precipitate and sink to the bottom,
- boiling water – water changes hardness under the influence of temperature. It is enough to boil water for the precipitated stone to fall to the bottom of the kettle,
- acidification of water – acidic reaction causes precipitation. Half a teaspoon of lemon juice is enough for a liter of water. Such water is perfect for rinsing hair or fabrics.
