The team made a statement on social media. At the beginning, the musicians emphasize:
We feel obliged to inform you that we do not identify ourselves with the views preached by Włodek ‘Paprodziad’ Dembowski on, inter alia, pandemic and war in Ukraine.
Łąki Łan: We waited for a better time
They also confirmed that Dembowski is no longer a member of the band. “He resigned from playing concerts at the end of last year, but not wanting to make a sensation about it, we waited for a better time and did not publish any info on this matter. But the better time did not come …” – write other members of Łąki Łan. They also point out that they are unlikely to play concerts this year, but this does not mean that their activities will be suspended. “Take care, take care of yourself and for others!” – complete their entry. Michał Chęc, Piotr Koźbielski and Jarek Jóźwik signed the statement.
Łąki Łan was established in 1999, Dembowski was invited to the composition by the group’s founders practically at the beginning of its existence. In 2004, the singer left the group in conflict, but after a year he joined the band.
Łąki Łan has released five studio albums, the author of the lyrics for most of the songs is Dembowski.
