The San Sebastian literary festival Literaktum will revolve around memory

The San Sebastian festival Literaktum, which will be held from November 8 to 21, will have the “memory” as its central axis.

David Grossman, Leila Slimani, Eider Rodriguez, Javier Cercas, Isabela Figueiredo, María Dueñas, María Belmonte, Anjel Lertxundi, Luis Landero, the young Italian writers Marta Barone and Paolo Giordano, Manuel Jabois, Jordi Amat and Kirmen Uribe will also take part in this literary contest whose programming has been presented this Wednesday at a press conference.

The Basque writer Edurne Portela will present with “Closed Eyes” to the festival’s fans, who will also be able to discover the latest works by Eider Rodriguez and Kirmen Uribe, since their novels have not yet reached the bookstores.

In addition, Anjel Lertxundi will bring to the public the figure of Martin Ugalde, Aurelia Arkotxa and the Québec writer Jean Dèsy will speak about acculturation, colonialism and multiculturalism and Irati Jimenez will offer the show A supernatural history of Basque literature, based on his book Your eyes will be opened.

This San Sebastian literary festival, which is held in different stages of San Sebastián, includes numerous parallel activities in which literature joins other cultural languages, as well as a specific program for children.
