- Frodo Baggins – Elijah Wood, also known from the production of “Hooligans” (2005), “Everything is Illumination” (2005) or “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”, played the role of the One Ring-bearer. - Aragorn – Viggo Mortensen is another cast member of the Lord of the Rings movies. The portrayal of Isildur’s heir, as well as the leader of the Northern Dunedain, is also known for his productions such as “Green book” (2018) and “Captain Fantastic” (2016);
- Gandalf – The mighty Istari and the guide of the Fellowship of the Ring is played by the great British actor Ian McKellen, known for his productions such as: “Satan’s Disciple” (1998), “Rasputin” (1996), “The Perfect Lie” (2019) and the film series about the X-Men;
- Legolas – the character of the Elf from Mirkwood and the Prince of the Forest Kingdom, he created in the films about “Lord of the Rings”. The British actor is also known for his “Pirates of the Caribbean” series and productions such as “Kingdom of Heaven” (2005), “Troy” (2004) and “The Three Musketeers” (2011);
- Gimli – a friend of Legolas and a dwarf from the Durin tribe, was played by John Rhys-Davies. He is also known for his production of “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” (1989) and “The Shannara Chronicles”;
- Boromir – he appeared in the role of the commander of the White Tower guards, known for such productions as: “Game of Thrones”, “The Accused” or “Troy” (2004).

“The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” is the first part of the trilogy, presenting the beginning of the journey of the hobbit Frodo Baggins, who embarks on a dangerous journey. The purpose of his journey is to destroy the legendary Ring of Power, a magical item of great power. Frodo goes on his journey with fellow Hobbits Pippin, Sam and Merry. On the way, they are joined by two people, the wizard Gandalf, as well as an elf and a dwarf. “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” is a continuation of Frodo Baggins’ journey. However, there is a split in The Fellowship of the Ring, so only Sam accompanies the hero on his way to Mordor. The Hobbits are not safe, however, as Sauron’s servants want to get the ring. Frodo is doing everything he can to complete his mission. “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” is the last film in the trilogy. In this part, the final battle with the mighty army of Sauron takes place, in which the fate of the whole world is at stake.

This question may be asked by people who have not yet had the opportunity to see the film adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s novels or want to recall the events presented in the epic story.
