In an interview for Caras magazine, Verónica Castro revealed the difficulties caused by the fall of the elephant, which she had in 2005, when she participated in the “Big Brother” program.
As an artist, she said that she feels “wonderful and happy”, but as a woman she confessed that she has been experiencing the “most difficult times in my entire existence”.

“I have many operations, because since I had the fall of the elephant I underwent several surgeries. Now I have false cervicals, the entire neck is made of titanium, I lost almost the entire spinal cord and had to rebuild my back.
She acknowledged that although the doctor who operated on her “did wonders”, there were several operations and over the years nothing was the same again. “The truth is that one does not look good,” she explained frankly.
Proud of her gray hair and wrinkles
The decision to abandon the glamor that she wore so much years ago, she explained by saying how good and proud she feels with her new appearance, accepting what time brings. For many it was a shock to see the actress with her hair natural, without dyeing it and with her face without makeup, at the beginning of the pandemic.
“I have accepted it and I liked it. I like my 70 years, my gray hair and my wrinkles, ”she said, referring to how she looks without reflecting fear over time, an issue that many celebrities find difficult to face.
The protagonist of soap operas is in favor of everything natural that the years add up to. “It is good that the features of gray hair and wrinkles are seen, because it is a mark of what you are leaving on the road,” she indicated.
