From the beginning of 2022, Małgorzata Łukowska no longer appears on the air, although in the schedule of the station available on the Polish Radio website, she is the host of the hip-hop program “Trojfonia 2HA” and the Wednesday edition of “Trójka wakes”. The last time she ran them was in December 2021 – now other journalists appear there claiming that they are running the programs as a replacement. As reported, Łukowska has not been dismissed from her job and is still a journalist for the Three.
Łukowska got a reprimand and “other editorial tasks”
Małgorzata Łukowska joined the editorial office of Trójka after a great wave of layoffs and the departure of long-term employees through the station. The journalist joined Polish Radio from Meloradia, where she worked from 2013 and dealt with news services there. At the beginning, together with Łukasz Ciechański, she ran the daily morning program “Pora na Trójką”, and after a few months she disappeared from the broadcast to prepare her own lifestyle format.
It got hot around Łukowska when the National Broadcasting Council received a complaint about how it hosted the program “Trójka wakes” on October 13, 2021. The magazine was written by a therapist and a person working with academic youth. After listening to the program, she concluded that the journalist promoted “patterns that threaten health and life”, because she talked about the absurd Guinness records, as well as about such dangerous behaviors as crushing watermelons with thighs, breaking a record in lying on ice, attaching fireworks to the body or about compulsive eating fast food.
Worse still, she did not care for linguistic clarity and during the program she aired songs containing profanity in English and Polish. In addition, the journalist allowed herself to behave inconsistently: she spoke on the air about eating puff in a very suggestive way, which “evoked pornographic associations”. The author of the complaint emphasized: “It is not a question of interpretation, it is conscious behavior – groaning on the air, lowering the voice, pseudo-actors’ show-offs.”
The argument about indecent behavior was not positively considered by the Polish Radio and the National Broadcasting Council. Karolina Czuczman from the National Council told Virtual Media – “The proceedings did not confirm the allegation of broadcasting unsuitable content for underage listeners, in particular promoting inappropriate patterns of behavior.” Monika Kuś has not informed whether Małgorzata Łukowska is not working on the air in relation to the complaint to the National Broadcasting Council.
