Manson registered this complaint in the Los Angeles courts just two weeks before the platform HBO premiere the documentary series phoenix rising, in which the actress recounts her turbulent relationship with the singer, whom she has accused of raping her during the recording of the video clip Heart-Shaped Glasses.

The musician, who denied the facts, has responded to these complaints with a lawsuit in which he accuses Wood and his collaborator, Ashley Gore, of “recruiting, coordinating and pressuring” other women to testify against him.

According to Manson (real name Brian Warner), the two women wrote a letter posing as an FBI agent who was investigating the musician.

Said letter would have pressured the recipients to sue Manson and It also provided a supposed “script” with a list of crimes that they had to narrate to the authorities.

However, according to the chain NBC, that you have had access to that document, The letter to which the musician refers does not include the FBI logo and presents Wood as a “key witness” in a criminal investigation of a “well-known public figure.”

The documentary, which HBO premieres in two weeks, reviews the accusations against Manson, and follows Wood and Gore’s campaign to get California to pass a law that expanded protections for victims of sex crimes, known as phoenix act.

This production was presented earlier this year at the sundance festival and grabbed headlines as in it Wood accuses Manson of raping her before the cameras of a shoot.

“We talked about a simulated sex scene, but once the cameras started rolling, he started to really penetrate me. I had never agreed to that. It was complete chaos. I didn’t feel safe. Nobody cared for me. It was a really traumatizing experience.” explains on tape.

Immediately after the screening of the documentary, the musician’s lawyer, Howard King, denied the accusations.

But the magazine rolling stone published a report in which filming workers claimed that they came to cancel it due to the uncomfortable sex scenes and the continuous discussions between Manson, the producers and members of the team.

For its part, last year the Los Angeles Police opened an investigation against Manson after complaints by Wood and four other women such as the stylist Love Baileywho said on social networks: “When someone like Marilyn Manson points a gun to your head, it’s time to speak up”. (I)
