The petition that did not achieve 5,000 signatures to encourage BTS to come to Ecuador, but currently there are no tickets to see them in the cinema

Four years ago a petition was opened on Change.org for BTS to come to Ecuador. Elsa García, the promoter, aspired that by gathering 5,000 signatures the proposal could be disseminated in the media, but until the night of February 23, 2022, one day before the pre-sale of tickets begins to see via streaming the concerts that the band will offer on March 12 in Seoul in theaters in Guayaquil and Quito, reached 3,172 entries.

Narcisa Villon, a teacher of English and pharmaceutical chemistry, was unable to get a pass to the Show at Cinemark in this city despite the fact that with two friends they agreed to try to buy them online, the only resource that was offered. She feared that the demand would prevent her from entering the shopping platform, so she took the foresight to ask another fan in Quito to help her with a ticket and it will be in the capital where she will enjoy the presentation of the band that very little. he knew when Elsa Garcia asked for signatures. “If she had been her, now she would sign,” she says, confessing that although BTS joined in 2010 and debuted in 2013, she became ARMY, as her followers call themselves, in September 2020.

Like Narcisa, Renata Zambrano was left without a ticket to see the young Koreans. The 20-year-old university student is not satisfied, she believes that she could get a pass on the same day of the concert, but she also hopes that other cinemas will open for BTS Permission to dance- On stage Seoul, as the return to the stage of Jungkook, Suga, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Jin and RM is called.

In social networks, they are already beginning to look for extra tickets, although a campaign has been launched on the same platforms so that they are not bought for resale.

Elsa García’s petition on Change.org is active and since the night of February 23 last, only one signature has increased. The fans from then, like Belén Cevallos, they made force: “Ecuadorian Armys want Love Yourself Tour In Ecuador”, he justified on the page.

“Hey! This request is for Big Hit Entertainment so that they can see that BTS has ARMY’s all over the world and ECUADOR is no exception, I don’t think that only I am excited that BTS comes to Ecuador and even more so to meet them, I really hope so the request reaches its goal to make it a reality, the province where the concert is held is the least, but it would be better if it were in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, or in Guayaquil, which is the most visited city 🙂 I hope this can be fulfilled (SIC)”, notes the order that was left hanging. Today the RMY are awaiting the presentation that will be seen via streaming in March, whose tickets were sold out before noon on February 23, in the presale that opened at 08:00.

Narcisa no longer thinks about that petition, but she insists that she would sign it if with it BTS is able to include Ecuador on a tour.

“Talking about them is a pleasure,” she replies when contacted. She has known about the band for six years, but “a fan, a fan, a fan, I have been since September 2021… It started to attract my attention because I saw the presentation of dynamite at the Grammys and I thought it was wonderful how they sing and dance, the show they put on, the quality of the choreography and the fact that they sang live, so I said, well, I’m going to see all the performances of this song. Then I started to see their other songs, obviously the language (Korean) does form a barrier, although it shouldn’t, I learned that from them. I began to listen to his songs a little more with an open mind and the truth is that I liked them a lot. I think the same thing happens to all of us, then we will find out more about them. (…) searching the internet we find a million content that helps us get closer, it’s super easy to get hold of them, “says Narcisa.

He agrees with María Cristina Galarza that the content shared by the K-pop band on the internet makes them different. The young women say that unlike Latin groups, they post more personal activities, not just music or concerts. “It is extra content, for example, they record what happens behind the concerts or when they are going to receive an award so that we can see their joy, their reactions, jokes”, explains Cristina.

And Narcisa adds: “They have several series, the last one to come out was In The Soop 2, that is when they were sent four or five days to a mansion with a tennis court, with a basketball court, with all the possible comforts and they recorded their day, and they uploaded it; well, they actually sell that, but ARMYs usually get and distribute the content, which shouldn’t be done, of course, but ok. But there we can see them, in quotes, in their natural habitat sharing with each other and one can know what they do, those who stay up late, those who get up late, the one who cooks, the one who cleans, the one who disappears when it’s time who washes the dishes, who likes to exercise, who likes to read, then you start to feel a stronger connection with them because we already see them apart from their presentations.”

Another feature that BTS fans highlight is the identity of their discography, which with two exceptions is based on the book. Demian, by Hermann Hese, which explains how when he grows up he has to accept the good and the bad in his life. In the novel, as he grows and matures, the boy accepts his present circumstances in order to project himself into the future.

“Also almost the entire existence of BTS is based on the message of love yourself, I mean, love yourself, and I am sure that any ARMY can confirm this, it has helped us a lot when it comes to accepting ourselves as we are. RM at a concert even said that please excuse him, but that he has used the fans to love each other and that we please do not hesitate to use BTS to learn to love ourselves, and this is something that I really like”, says Narcisa, who is also a client of the official merchandise stores, shows what she has and says that more are on the way. She affirms that she must have invested a thousand dollars in the band’s products, because the same album has several presentations and she wants them all.

Renata buys BTS content in local stores, she admits that she doesn’t have much because she doesn’t work yet, she is a university student, but her parents please her with some tastes and the band is among the first.
