When will Virgin River Season 4 premiere?
It has not yet been officially announced when Virgin River season four will premiere. Filming began in late July 2021, right after the air of season three, and even before the official announcement of the Virgin River season 4 order. Apparently, the series is to have not only the fourth, but also the fifth season. For now, however, viewers expect the fourth series, the shooting of which was completed at the end of last year. Considering that season three has been crowned by numerous cliffhangers, the anticipation of a sequel is not surprising. Optimists assume that the next series of adventures of their favorite heroes will be available in the spring of 2022, but the more realistic release date for the fourth season of Virgin River seems to be July 2022.
Where to watch Virgin River?
For those who do not know where to watch “ Virgin River ”, we advise: all previous seasons can be watched on the Netflix platform. “Virgin River” is the original series of Netflix, so it’s no wonder that it is this VOD service that new productions have appeared. The fourth season of Virgin River will certainly also be available on Netflix. While waiting for new episodes, you can watch (or recall) the previous 30 installments of the main characters’ adventures.
“Virgin River”: the cast of the series
As with many such productions, the cast largely contributed to the success of Virgin River. The plot of the production is not too complicated, the series tells the story of a young nurse, Melinda Monroe (called Mel), who, after her husband’s death, moves from a big city to the California province to start all over again. He quickly realizes that at this point nothing is as it seems at first glance. The script of the series was based on the themes of the best-selling novel by Robyn Carr of the same title. Currently, the book saga has over 20 volumes, so it is highly probable that season four will not actually be the last.
The role of the main character, nurse and midwife who moved from Los Angeles to Virgin River is played by Alexandra Breckenridge, an American actress known from the series and “ That’s who we are ”. As Jack Sheridan, owner of a local restaurant and former marines suffering from PTSD, there is Martin Henderson in the production of Netflix, who we can associate with such paintings as “Pride and Prejudice” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith ” or a TV series. Dr. Vernon “Doc” Mullins, the local physician, is created by Tim Matheson, known from the movie “Kill Reagan.” The role of Charmaine Roberts, Jack’s friend, is played by Lauren Hammersley. Colin Lawrence stars as John “Preacher” Middleton, Jack’s close military friend and now chef at his bar. Melinda’s older sister, Los Angeles-based Joey Barnes, is played by Jenny Cooper. Annette O’Toole is featured in the role of Virgin River Mayor Hope McCrea. Alongside them, the series has so far starred: Benjamin Hollingsworth, Grayson Gurnsey, Sarah Dugdale, Zibby Allen, Marco Grazzini. Expect new characters in season four. A new doctor will appear in the town, played by Mark Ghanimé, and Kai Bradbury will play the missing grandson of Dr. Mullins.
Fans hope that season four will bring an answer to how Mel and Jack’s fate will unfold: whether they have a chance for a future together after Mel has revealed to Jack that she is expecting a baby, but is not sure if his father is Jack, or maybe her deceased husband. Another question mark is the series future of Hope, whose absence in the third season was caused by a pandemic (the actress could not get to the set due to restrictions in movement), and who at the end of the series had a car accident, as a result of which she was hospitalized with a brain injury. However, the producers of the series do not plan another funeral, so Hope fans can sleep relatively well, although the recovery process will not be easy for the mayor or her relatives.
