The war in Ukraine. Sean Penn described what he saw on the way to the Polish border

The actor wrote:

In virtually every car in this photo, there are only women and children, most of them without any traces of luggage, and these cars are the only thing of value they have at the moment.

Penn did not explain why he and his colleagues were walking – it can be assumed that the car broke down or they ran out of fuel and it was impossible to refuel. He posted a tweet after February 28, and has not informed about his situation on social media since then.

On Monday, we wrote about the emotional statement that the actor made after meeting with Ukrainian politicians in Kiev. “America’s soul is lost if we leave the Ukrainians to fight alone,” he wrote, among others.

The actor has already been involved in politics many times. He criticized US President George W. Bush for the invasion of Iraq, and visited Iran, Pakistan and Cuba. He aroused controversy when he supported Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and sided with Argentina in the ongoing dispute with Britain over the Falklands. He has also been very active in the field of humanitarian aid for years, incl. in Haiti.

The Russian war against Ukraine continues. There is information about houses destroyed, wounded and killed. Needs are increasing hour by hour. That is why Gazeta.pl joins forces with the Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) Foundation to support humanitarian aid for Ukrainians and Ukrainians.
