“I have my return ticket (to Ukraine) for April 10 and I still hope to use it,” says Luchiana Hakman, a Ukrainian artist who lived in Ecuador

“My family is fine for now, but no one knows what to expect. Ukraine is alone, no one helps us, everyone is afraid. Ukraine has to put up with everything alone, ”says the Ukrainian artist Luchiana Hakman by telephone, who was based in Ecuador from 2008 to 2020, the year in which she returned to her native country to reunite with her family.

From Madrid (Spain), where he traveled to fulfill professional commitments, Hakman shares his concern not only for his country, but for his relatives. “I am in Spain working on a project, I just left Ukraine on February 19. Most of my family is in Chernivtsi (a city near the Romanian border). There are my daddy, my uncles, cousins ​​and my grandfather. I have a lot of friends in Odessa”, he says.

The actress and singer also maintains that her family still remains in their homes and that there are not so many shelters in the city to move to another point. “There is still communication with them. They are fine, the Ukrainian people are strong in character and they will not let us win so easily, ”she says.

Hakman also assures: “I have my return ticket on April 10 and I still hope to use it.”

In 2020 I left Ecuador due to the pandemic, because I wanted to be with my family. In 2021, I lost my mother and grandmother to COVID-19. Now I don’t want to lose my loved ones anymore.
