Polish filmmakers with Ukraine. “We will support organizationally and in terms of housing”

“Our thoughts are with the citizens of Ukraine, our friends. As the Polish Producers Guild, we want to offer support to Ukrainian filmmakers in finding a job on our film sets. If necessary, we will support organizationally and in terms of housing” – such an entry can be read on the Facebook page of the Polish Producers Guild. According to the Guild, the support action was joined by: the Filmmakers ‘Union, the Polish Audiovisual Producers Association, the Polish Filmmakers Association, the Polish Film, Television and Theater Make-up Guild and the Polish Screenwriters’ Guild.

A special letter to Andrei Deszczyc, Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, was sent by Jacek Bromski, who is the president of the Polish Filmmakers Association. “It will be a great honor for us to support you in this unjust war. Long live Ukraine!” – writes the director. Bromski assures that if the group of war refugees includes representatives of the film industry (of all professions), the SPF is ready to help in finding work in the productions of Studio Munk. “We can also provide shelter to several families in the Creative Work House in Kazimierz Dolny,” adds the president.

Film journalist Marcin Radomski invited on Facebook to the Mojeekino.pl platform, where, as part of special screenings, you can watch the Ukrainian film “My War” by Masha Kondakowa. The production tells about the war in Donbas from the perspective of three women: Lera (Valeria), Dandelion (Ira) and Wiedźma (Ołena). The film will be available as part of a special screening until February 27 by the end of the day. According to Radomski, the income from the sale of tickets will be entirely allocated to financial support for Ukraine for a selected and verified aid organization.
