Remigiusz Mróz bitterly on the sanctions against Russia: It is appropriate to only quote these soldiers from the Island of Snakes

On Thursday, February 24, at 3 a.m. Polish time, Russian troops attacked Ukraine. Vladimir Putin’s troops struck from various directions, both from the ground and from the air. In the morning of February 25, the Russians began bombing the capital of Ukraine. The situation is changing minute by minute, we are driving

After the extraordinary summit of the European Council, which voted on the scope of the sanctions imposed on Russia, the President of Ukraine presented to him the scope of the sanctions. He later wrote on social media that “not all sanctions opportunities have been exhausted so far” and that “pressure on Russia must be increased. I told the chairwoman this. [Ursuli von der Leyen – red.]. I am grateful to her for the decision to grant additional financial assistance. ”However, Remigiusz Mrz was much less diplomatic.

Frost about snakes on Russia: It is only appropriate to quote the soldiers from the Serpent Island

How the Western bloc countries react to Russian aggression is crucial for the future of the whole of Europe. Polish writer Remigiusz Mrz believes that so far politicians have not shown the necessary courage and chose a very conservative variant. As we read in his Twitter post:

Russia is not excluded from SWIFT or sports games. Sanctions for people around Putin, not for himself. Nord Stream 2 with certification suspended but still alive. Visas – no changes. Import from Russia – no changes. It is only appropriate to quote those soldiers from Snake Island.

A group of 13 border guards tragically died on Thursday defending the tiny Snake Island located several dozen kilometers from Romania. The Russians attacked the islands from both sea and air. Before they bombed the station, they sent a summons to Ukrainian defenders to lay down their arms from the warship. As you can hear in the recording: Russian warship here. We propose you to lay down your arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed and unnecessary sacrifices. Otherwise, you will be bombed.

In response, they heard:

Fuck you, Russian warship.

The President of Ukraine announced that all the guards who died on the island will receive the posthumous orders of the Hero of Ukraine.

Donald Tusk, former president of the European Council and chairman of the European People’s Party, wrote on Twitter that sanctions in this dimension are “fake” and that the states that blocked the most difficult decisions were disgraced. “In this war, everything is real: Putin’s madness and cruelty, Ukrainian victims, bombs falling on Kiev. Only the sanctions are faked. Those governments that blocked difficult decisions (including Germany, Hungary, Italy) were disgraced.”

Breaking news: around 1 p.m. on Friday, February 25, “The Guardian” announced unofficially that, according to the draft of new sanctions agreed by EU leaders, all members of the Duma, the Russian security council and all Belarusian officials in the military and defense ministry who led to the invasion to Ukraine, will be subject to travel bans and their assets will be frozen. Moreover, as “The Guardian” claims, sanctions are also to be applied to, inter alia, two more banks: Alfa Bank and Otkritie. It is also set to ban loans from EU financial service providers to eight firms.
