How to properly dispose of used fat after frying is still a mystery to many people. Some instinctively pour it down the sink or, without realizing how big the mistake it is. This practice can cause a lot of damage, because the fat does not dissolve in water, and poured into the sewage system, it solidifies and settles on the walls of the pipes, creating blockages.
What to do with used oil after frying donuts? Under no circumstances should you pour it down the sink
is a great holiday for all donut lovers. On this day, these sweets reign in the menu of most Poles. Formerly it was believed that not eating a donut could result in serious consequences. Eating, on the other hand, was to guarantee, inter alia, wealth and protect against mice. On this day, many people decide to buy donuts, but many people still choose donuts made by hand. Therefore, it is worth knowing how to quickly and easily remove the fat used during frying.
Usually, if there is little left in the pan, just wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and throw it into the container, but after frying the donuts, there is much more left. In this case, you can collect it into a bottle, and when it is full, return it free of charge to PSZOK, i.e. the Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point, which can be found in every Polish municipality. Another way for all those who have the right conditions is composting. Used oil is biodegradable waste. However, it should not be simply poured onto the compost in large amounts every now and then, as this can contaminate the soil and groundwater. A much better solution would be to pour the oil into e.g. sawdust or let it soak into napkins / cartons, which can then be thrown into the compost.
