Matthew Perry is publishing a book. “The highs were high and the lows were painful”

Matthew Perry’s life changed after taking the role in “Friends.” Overnight, from an actor playing small comedy roles, he became one of the most recognizable stars in America. Fame brought him not only a lot of money, but also put him under enormous pressure, which he could not cope with.

There have been rumors about Matthew Perry’s problems and addictions for many years, he himself did not hide that at some point he stopped controlling his life to such an extent that he does not remember working on the three seasons of the series. The character of Chandler Bing, endowed with a characteristic sense of humor, one of the most beloved characters of “Friends”, was created by a man who repeatedly stood on the edge.

In “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” Perry talks about his lost love and about friends who haven’t turned their backs on him, even in the darkest days. Announcing the premiere, Perry wrote:

So much has been written about me in the past. I figured it was time for people to hear my own words. The highs were high and the lows were painful. But I lived to tell the story, though it sometimes seemed to fail. It’s all here.

– Perry’s autobiography is primarily a story of a man who has been struggling with his demons for years. It is also the story of an extremely talented and penetrating artist, endowed with extraordinary comic talent. Finally, it is a look behind the scenes of the most famous TV production, perhaps watched by successive generations. I am very happy that it is WAB that will publish this book in Polish.
