Queen Elizabeth II, 95, tested positive for COVID-19 but has “mild” symptoms comparable to those of a cold, announced Sunday the Buckingham Palacewhich indicated that the monarch wants to continue working on some “light tasks”.
The sovereign was in contact with his son Prince Charlestwo days before he tested positive for the coronavirus, on February 10.
In the past week resumed his audiences at Windsor Castlebut he complained to one of the people he interviewed that he suffered from “stiffness”.
“Buckingham Palace confirms that the Queen has tested positive for COVID today,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement. “Her Majesty continues to receive medical attention and will follow the appropriate directives.”, he added.
