The Blaze is another star of the 15th Audioriver festival

Audioriver is one of the most important music festivals in Poland and at the same time a unique event. It is here that you can see the world’s most famous representatives of house, techno and drum’n’bass, as well as world stars of electronics rubbing against pop, rock or hip-hop. Audioriver connects many worlds and everyone is equal here. The stage giant is just as important as the unknown experimenter.

Audioriver 2022. The stage will include, among others, The Blaze

Design The Blaze, who joined the Audioriver 2022 line-up, are formed by Guillaume and Jonathan Alric, and their work delighted listeners all over the world, as well as prestigious media, including The New York Times. In 2018, their debut album was released. “Dancehall”, and the EP that preceded it with such hits as “Virile” or “Territory”, was appreciated not only because of the great music material, but also thanks to the great clips, distinguished, among others, by at the Berlin Music Awards or UK Music Awards. The Blaze’s live performances are also a unique mix of audiovisual experiences, as proven by performing at festivals such as Coachella, Primavera Sound and Audioriver 2019. Following the success of their previous album, Guillaume and Jonathan are working on their next studio album. This year’s Audioriver is a unique opportunity. to listen to their new material, because The Blaze in the live version will be heard this year only at selected world festivals.

Another interesting performance at Audioriver is the group’s concert WhoMadeWhowho also announced the release of a new album later this year. Within a dozen or so years from the beginning of their musical journey, Tomas Høffding, Tomas Barford and Jeppe Kjellberg have released as many as six studio albums, as well as a lot of EPs, singles and remixes released for such labels as Kompakt, Innervisions or Life & Death. Barford’s love of electronic music, combined with the rock and jazz education of Høffding and Kjellberg, make their performances a dance mix of vocals, instruments and melodic electronics. To find out, it is worth listening to the broadcast of their amazing concert with millions of plays against the background of the Egyptian temple of Abu Simbel, and then appear in front of the stage at Audioriver 2022.

In the Audioriver program, it is also worth paying attention to the performance of the Italian duo Mind Against. The Fognini brothers have been very popular among fans for years due to their characteristic style, combining the influences of deep techno, as well as melodic, flowing sounds, often with great vocals. Their original productions perfectly fit the musical style of Afterlife, which is one of the leading labels on the international scene, managed by Tale Of Us. It is in this catalog that you can find the greatest hits of Mind Against, incl. such as “Gravity” or “Walking Away”.

Audioriver 2022. A legend from Detroit and leading representatives of the modern techno scene

As every year, Płock will also feature leading representatives of stronger types of electronics. Robert Hood is a legend of the scene and a representative of Detroit, an extremely important city for the history of electronic music. The American producer had a great influence on promoting minimal techno sounds already in the 90s and continues its mission until today. A much younger, but increasingly popular American producer is LSDXOXO, which can already boast, among others official remix for Lady Gaga. The artist has already become famous on the New York stage, and now lives and works in Berlin, which means that we can see his energetic and expressive performances in Europe much more often. He also resides in the German capital Dr. Rubinsteini.e. an excellent DJ, whose performances are always distinguished by an excellent vinyl selection and a great sense of the dance floor, which the Audioriver audience could already see in 2018.

Speaking of energetic performances, in the Audioriver program, as usual, we will find interesting artists for fans of slightly lighter and danceable music. Catz ‘N Dogz is a Polish duo, for years enjoying great recognition around the world thanks to their own Pets Recordings label, great productions, as well as remixes for such stars as Disclosure and Roisin Murphy. Another artist runs her own publishing catalog, who will be available at Audioriver 2022. I am talking about Terr, originating from the Brazilian Belo Horizonte, known for cooperation also incl. with Hotflush Recordings and Phantasy Sound, the Erola Arkana’s lab. A lot of dance impressions of festival fans await also during the performance Peachanother representative of the new wave of artists that will appear at the 15th Audioriver.

Audioriver 2022. The leading representatives of the bass scene

Fans of broken sounds of electronics will certainly be interested in the visit to Płock of the owners of two respected labels on the drum’n’bass scene. Friction, the founder of Shogun Audio, is one of the most respected artists on the broken scene, who not only runs a label, but also releases his own songs and performs regularly on different continents. The same can be said for the owner of Spearhead Records, i.e. BCee. In his catalog, the artist released productions of many well-known producers, including Netsky, but he also has over 200 of his own productions released over more than two decades. He will also perform at Audioriver 2022 Fred V, that is, a representative of another well-known label – Hospital Records. The British producer will come to Poland after the release of his first solo album, and we could get to know his work before, when he was still co-creating the well-known duo Fred V & Grafix.
