Elvis Presley biopic Baz Luhrman will finally hit theaters on June 24, 2022. The Australian director confirmed the release date in November last year and released the first full trailer for the film this Thursday, to be called simply Elvis.
The trailer revealed that the actor austin butler has been cast as Elvis in the biopic. The 27-year-old was chosen to play the singer, beating out some truly stellar names to play the King of Rock and Roll, such as Harry Styles and Ansel Elgort.

According to reports, Ansel Elgort, Harry Styles and even the star of whiplashMiles Teller, moved their hips in auditions for the role before the Oscar-winning director settled on Butler.
