A resident of Nowy Targ on one of the social networks received an invitation from an unknown woman. He decided to accept the request. Immediately after he did so, he received a message from a stranger.

The woman wrote that she was a soldier in the US Army and had recently returned from Syria. At first, the man sensed nothing suspicious. – In the news, she described her stay in Syria, where she was on a mission, during which she set aside a large amount of money. One day she offered to transfer the money aside to his account to withdraw it when he comes to Poland – we learn from the reports of the Małopolska police.

“Be careful when making new friends”

However, this unusual proposal did not arouse any suspicions in the man. He was still talking to the woman who sent him a package one day. After a few days, the man received a message from the “courier company”. He was informed of a problem with the package. He learned that in order for it to be delivered, he should pay 15,000 zlotys. So the man took out a bank loan to help the soldier. He deposited money. However, he received further requests for contributions shortly afterwards. Then he reported the matter to the police.

Fraud “on an American soldier”, “on a doctor on a mission”, “on an oil rig engineer” are one of the popular activities of criminals on the Internet. We have already warned about this many times.
