Disney will venture for the first time in the construction of residential neighborhoods inspired by its films, reported the division of the franchise dedicated to the management of theme parks.
The first of these communities has already been baptized as “Cotino” and will begin its works this year in the town of Rancho Mirage, on a plot of more than 250 hectares in the Californian Coachella Valley.
It is about 1,900 homes built in an exclusive space set in the characters of the company and whose prices have not yet been revealed.
“Cotino”, an initiative that is part of the “Storyliving by Disney” project, It will have a shopping center, several restaurants, entertainment venues for young people and adults over 55, as well as a hotel and a Disney park facing the sea.
From the company they specified that a part of the mentioned services will require an additional membership on the part of the residents.
Disney also plans to build other neighborhoods such as “Cotino” scattered throughout the United States.
Rancho Village will be the first “Storyliving by Disney” residential neighborhood built by the company and will be located in a city where Walt Disney himself owned a home for his spare time. (I)
