The ‘Symphonic Dances’ from ‘West Side Story’ and Leonard Bernstein’s ‘Symphony No. 2’ and Zhou Tian’s ‘Concerto for Orchestra’, under the baton of conductor Robert Treviño, make up the new “American flavor” concert program that the Euskadiko Orkestra will offer between February 21 and 25.
The Chinese-American composer Zhou Tian has traveled to Euskal Herria to attend the European premiere of his concert, and at the same time he will attend a conference with composition students from Musikene, in San Sebastian.
The Moscow pianist Yulianna Avdeeva will star in Bernstein’s ‘Symphony No. 2’, which will be performed for the first time by the Euskadiko Orkestra.
The concerts in this program will take place on Monday at the Teatro Principal in Vitoria, on Tuesday at the Baluarte Auditorium in Pamplona, on Wednesday at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao and on Thursday and Friday at the Kursaal Auditorium in San Sebastián.
