His career as a soloist, the artist tells this newspaper, began after he left a boy band Peruvian called Four Me (4me), with which he toured different scenarios. “That was my first experience in terms of the closeness of making music, sharing with the public, making shows. And then the group disbanded and the producer suggested that I make my solo career”, he comments.

In his facet as a soloist, and as an independent artist, the urban pop genre predominates in his musical proposal. In Medellín (Colombia) she began to work on her first productions. “Here I was able to record my first song, which is called Herand that’s where my career began in 2019. Then I got I adore you. Cataloged by his fans as a respectful man, who supports his and protects his friends, and who during his participation in the program had no problems with his companions, he assures that this image that was achieved gives him great satisfaction. “I like it because socially it looks good, but it’s not perfect either: I have my shortcomings, my virtues; That doesn’t mean that tomorrow I can be wrong. I’m the type of person who likes to do things right, and that’s what I’ve been showing on this journey. Let’s hope it continues like this, it won’t falter, “he says.

‘I adore you’

The single is born from his work with two of his friends. To write it, he says, they based it on an everyday situation. “It talks about discovering love, when after ending a relationship you meet one person and suddenly another appears. Without expecting anything, it changes your perspectives and awakens your feelings again without looking for it”, he says.

The composition and production of this theme involved Austin, Josué Díaz, Beto Gómez and Sherman & Fine. This theme has a music video recorded in Máncora, Peru.

‘I do not want to lose you’

This topic has a deeper background. She wrote it during the pandemic lockdown. “We created it when people started losing loved ones. So yes, the song lends itself to a couple, but it’s really for the people who lost the battle against COVID-19 ″, she explains.

New projects

He also does not rule out possible collaborations with Ecuadorian artists, including his former partner in reality show, the Guayaquil native Andreina Bravo. “There was talk of that (collaborating with her), it is a matter of fitting the times, only that I already have a scheduled agenda. But I would like to get it out now, but in due course it will happen, ”she adds.

The musician also maintains that, in his next productions, the genres will be more diverse. “We are going to become a little more versatile: urban pop, yes, but I want to enter a more reggaeton wave, also do fusions with cumbia or salsa, maybe later,” admits Austin, who has among his most ambitious dreams to sing in the Fifth Vergara, in Viña del Mar, and share the stage with the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny.

Although he has received countless job offers, he clarifies that his priority is to promote his music to grow in this aspect. “I would love to sing with Manuel Turizo, Piso 21, with Maluma, it would be incredible, but we are going step by step. I have proposals in my country and abroad, but they are all yet to be evaluated”, she asserts.

Relationship

Austin, who had a fleeting relationship with the Puerto Rican Yilliam Anderson in the reality show, emphasizes that he is currently single: “I knew that my time to meet someone was limited, in my case, and I decided to forget about it and flow. Things, clear and normal. With Yilliam we have a good relationship and the moments are unique and with that one stays”.

Would I go back to a reality show? “No, I no longer think she would ever participate in a reality show”, he says emphatically. “If they had kept us locked up in a house, I wouldn’t have endured it,” she says. (AND)
