The thirty-eighth edition of the Álava Basque Film Week will screen the best cinematographic works made or produced in 2021 by Basque professionals such as maixabel, nora and Ilargi guztiak. In total, six feature films and five short films will be screened from February 21 to 26 on the first floor of the Dendaraba shopping center. Screenings will begin at 7:30 p.m. and at the end of the screenings there will be a colloquium with its protagonists.
The monday 21after the opening gala, will be screened the short Kinkaby Maider Oleaga, and noraby Lara Izagirre.
The meat of Xabi Vitoria will open the day of the tuesday 22. The feature film of that day will be the radio amateurdirected by Iker Elorrieta.
The Wednesday 23 the short film Hidden will open the day and after it will be screened Once upon a time in EuskadiManu Gómez’s first feature film.
The session on Thursday 24 will begin with the short azaletik azalera, by Mel Arranz. It will then be displayed Ilargi guztiakby Igor Legarreta.
Friday the 25th will be the day of the film maixabel, by Iciar Bollain, a film recently awarded three Goya awards. She will share the spotlight with The quilt and the motherby David Pérez Sanudo.
Garcia and Garcia will put the final climax to this edition on Saturday by sharing the spotlight with the closing gala and awards ceremony.
Subscriptions and tickets are already on sale on the Vital Foundation website and at the Casa del Cordón. Likewise, tickets for each day’s session can also be obtained at the box office from one hour before the screening, if any. The subscription costs 15 euros and the ticket for a session 4 euros.
