The well-known travel Tiktokerka “Where this time” decided to check whether the prices for basic groceries differ in the same chain of stores in Poland and Luxembourg. To the surprise of Internet users, these turned out to be very similar.

In the video she published, Tiktokerka showed the prices of some products available in the Auchan chain of stores. For example, for ground coffee of a well-known brand, we will pay 14 zlotys there, while in Poland we have to pay about 19 zlotys for the same product.
We also pay more for energy drinks – in Luxembourg we will buy them for about PLN 4.70, and in Poland for about two zlotys more. Pasta is also cheaper there – in Luxembourg we will pay PLN 3.20 for 500 g of pasta, and in Poland we will get about 250/300 g of the product for a similar price. In a similar price range, we will buy chips, which both in Poland and Luxembourg cost about PLN 9.
The prices surprised the Internet users, which was expressed in the comments. – Prices almost identical, almost normally found in Poland. The worst thing is that with their salaries it is pennies – said one of the platform users. – Massacre. As statistics show, the minimum wage in Luxembourg is one of the highest in Europe – it amounts to EUR 2,257, or around 10,000. zlotys. In the case of Poland, the remuneration is PLN 3,010 gross (which translates into a remuneration of PLN 2,364 net). So it is about three times smaller.
