(née Braun) was born on July 1, 1921. She came from a family of intelligentsia and always studied well, and her dream from an early age was to become a doctor. Even as a teenager she was supposed to be a “loving” person. When she was 12, her heart was won by 4 years older Stach. He was handsome and knowledgeable. She imagined that they would be like Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Piotr Curie.
“Remember that I love you the only one”
They got married in 1939, and although she was reportedly proud to be married while still in school, her first sexual experiences were more painful than pleasant. What’s more, Stach did not reflect on her feelings and cared only about his needs. In addition, he was supposed to make her addicted to himself, forcing her to “obey” with threats, blackmail that she would “find another one”. After some time, it turned out that as a couple they were not quite well matched. Stach had high sexual expectations that Michalina was unable to live up to. Rather, she focused on the “love” relationship. It was enough for him to tell her: “remember that I love you only”. Then, despite his side jumps, she felt happy. However, wanting to keep his affairs under control, she took a controversial step and invited her friend Wanda to her marriage. They then formed a triangle that worked for some time. This arrangement was convenient for Michalina, because Wanda relieved her of many unpopular duties, including the marital one.
“This is where love ended”
A serious crisis stood in their way when both Michalina and Wanda became pregnant. In order to avoid a scandal, they left for the countryside, and after giving birth, returned, registering the children (Krysia and Krzysia) as twins Michalina and Stanisław Wisłocki. Years later, the daughter of Michalina Wisłocka (Krystyna Bielewicz) confessed that she grew up in an “emotional refrigerator” because Wanda favored her biological son, her mother devoted the most time to work, and her father?
My father loved only himself, rarely is a man so incredibly self-centered in himself. He was a very cold, tough guy who, when he saw a cripple in the street, commented that the latter should not appear in public because he offended his aesthetic feelings.
– said Krystyna Bielewicz in one of the interviews.
Michalina Wisłocka believed for a long time that Stach only loves her, and that he is only physically related to Wanda. However, one chip stopped working. Wanda was fed up and told Michalina that they wanted to marry Stach and that they were going to leave.
It played until one day Wanda greeted me with the news: You know, Wisłocki is divorcing you, and he will marry me. They figured they would take one child. Oh no! And that’s where love ended. Because it’s not such a bully anymore. What is it?
– said Michalina Wisłocka in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza.
Stach, however, stayed, but one day Michalina found erotic photos of her husband’s lover, including employees of the institute, students and his assistants. Then something broke in her. She told him to get out and threatened that if he didn’t, she would show the pictures to his boss.
“I realized that you can die of love”
After the breakup, Michalina Wisłocka threw herself into work even more. What she experienced, however, had a profound effect on her health. – I realized that you can die of love – she said in one of the conversations. Another turning point in her life came when she went on a healing holiday to Lubniewice. There she met Jurek, whom she called an ape. A hot feeling developed between them. – Jurek is so big, shaggy and muscular like a boxer. This bear knelt by the bed, watched and whispered some wonderful words, spells or requests, and gently caressed my skin with his lips, like something extremely beautiful and fragile – she described him in her diary. It was he who showed Wisłocka that love is not only a spiritual relationship, but also a physical one, and it was with him that she had her first orgasm in her life. Thanks to what she experienced during an affair with Jurek, she started writing her famous book, “The Art of Loving”. Jurek, however, was married, so they met secretly when they could. However, with the passage of time, less and less. He unexpectedly died, which was a real shock for Michalina. Jurek was the love of her life and she was unable to love anyone like that anymore. She also never married again. She died on February 5, 2005, at the age of 84.
