After The Good Boss’, the favorites were ‘Maixabel’, by Icíar Bollaín with 14 nominations and ‘Madres paralleles’, by Pedro Almodóvar, with 8. ‘Mediterranean’, ‘The Border Laws’ and ‘Libertad’ had six nominations, while ‘Josefina’ had achieved three. Lastly, five films had received two Goya nominations: ‘La hija’, ‘La vida era eso’, ‘La granny’, ‘El amor en su lugar’ and ‘Chavalas’.

A total of 160 films premiered in our country between January 1 and December 31, 2021 have opted for the 36th edition of the Goya Awards.
