The Puerto Ricans Wisin y Yandel, self-styled “The duo of history” of reggaeton, launched this Thursday Do not forgetthe second single from what they presume will be their last album, The Last Mission.
Written by Wisin and Yandel, in conjunction with the producers of the song, Nesty The master mind and Reggi The Authentic, Do not forget It was recorded at La Base Studios – Wisin’s recording studio – in his native Cayey, a city in the central zone of Puerto Rico, and Squarehouse, in Orlando, Florida (USA).
The lyrics of the song complement the images of the music video, which tells the story of a woman who chose safety over love: “You can live with him, but the first time is not forgotten”, as detailed in a press release.
Directed by the also Puerto Rican Carlos perez, from their production company Elastic People, the video features Wisin and Yandel in one of the most nerve-wracking and adventurous situations to date.
The artists, in turn, are presented in the midst of an exciting love triangle, with potentially fatal consequences, in which Wisin and Yandel play the role of men from very different social classes fighting for the same captivating woman.
The musical cut will be part of the duo’s new album, which is scheduled for release in the spring of 2022.
The first single released was Rememberreleased at the beginning of last December.
During their 14-year career as a duo, Wisin y Yandel received numerous multi-platinum certifications in the United States and Latin America and a number of other prestigious awards, including two Latin Grammys and one Anglo-Saxon Grammy, as well as ten Billboard Latin Airplay number 1. (I)
