– “In the past” is a good memory, often colored and necessarily better than “here and now”. For some it is childhood, for others it is the first years of study, and for me it is simply uninhibited laughter, madness without calculation and the first, passionate love. – says Michał Lange, singer and songwriter. – I really like to come back to places from my childhood – adds Marcin Makowiec. – Sometimes I would like it to be like it used to be, although I know very well that we often idealize the past.
Martin Lange in a nostalgic edition. First album on its way
– Everyone has their “Former”. This is our personal myth that we like to refer to. Although it is not always true, it may give us a reason to change the present for the better, say Lange and Makowiec. – This song, as well as the clip, is a sentimental journey, longing for a carefree, slower life, when we enjoyed just anything. Now we underestimate the excess of everything we have. On the other hand, it is an attempt to come to terms with the past, let go and reflect on who we have become growing up.
A clip was made for the song, shot in the museum of the People’s Republic of Poland, which interprets the longing for what was with a grain of salt.
The song “Next”, which is already another single, announces the debut album “Kontrasty”, which is scheduled for release in 2022. – We can see how difficult it is to go back to the roots when it comes to emotionality in music. With this project and the original album, we tried to make it come out of the heart, regardless of the rock, pop or other sound. The only epithet and drawer into which we would be able to put everything that is included on the album, both textually and musically, is “emotional music” – said Michał Lange and Marcin Makowiec in an interview with Gazeta.pl.
