The Garzón brothers are now betting on ‘showbiz’; launch their own digital show

Andres Garzon Y Hector Garzon they not only share the same blood, but also a love for the performing arts; a trade that has led them to be on the same stage on more than one occasion and that has given them a place in the hearts of Ecuadorians.

‘The Garzón brothers’, a nickname adopted by their audience to refer to them, add up to more than 30 years of artistic career each, and after all this time they have decided to coincide again in the same project. The actors say goodbye to television for a while to join the digital ‘wave’, of which they have been a part for a few months. On this occasion they premiere their own talk show in which they participate as hosts. Is about Garzhow which is broadcast live every Saturday at 8:00 p.m., on Telepremier’s YouTube channel.

“I share the screen with my brother trying to make a more colloquial approach, much more human with the interviewees, moving away a little from the show business, wanting to talk a little about what they are doing”describes Andrés Garzón in dialogue with this newspaper.

So far they have broadcast three episodes, in which they have had as guests figures from the screen such as the actress Tabata Galvezthe musician and announcer Diego Spotorno and the actor Charles Scavone. In approximately 50 minutes they share a pleasant conversation with the guest, who, immersed in an atmosphere of complicity, talks about personal, family or work anecdotes.

Héctor Garzón maintains that what they seek is to address a guest with humor but without sensationalism. “It is an interview program with humor, we try to get out of that area of ​​​​negative entertainment that is looking for the twists and turns, or generate content from sensationalism. I myself am a social communicator and it bothers me a lot that people don’t talk about what the artists are doing, but rather look for the point where you can argue or fight with another, when we can be proactive “manifests.

“The country needs enterprising people and artists are also entrepreneurs from our expertise”adds the artist.

Currently they continue to work individually on some personal projects. Andrés Garzón is part of Pop Up Zumar, from which he is about to premiere performances with the Mucho Lote 1 community. At the same time, he continues with his acting workshops at Black Box Producciones.

While Héctor Garzón is part of other digital projects, and continues to develop social initiatives in favor of the community of artists. “We have knocked on many doors without much success. We have colleagues who are helpless, who do not have social security, or who have catastrophic illnesses. All that kind of stuff we’re trying to figure out how we can help.”indicates the actor, who integrates some groups of political social level.

“We are looking at how we can better apply the Culture Law, this is a fight we have had for some time,” holds. (I)
