Actor Sean Penn is at the center of the controversy after making controversial statements during an interview with ‘The Independent’ in which he assured that “men have become quite feminized”.
“I’m in the club that believes that men in American culture have become wildly feminized. I don’t think being a brute or having callousness or disrespect for women has anything to do with masculinity, or ever has. . But I don’t think that (to) be fair to women, we should become them“said the artist.
Although ‘The Independent’ asked him to clarify these comments, Penn insisted on his theories: “I think that men, in my opinion, have become quite feminized. I have these very strong women in my life who do not take masculinity as a sign of oppression towards them. I think there are a lot of cowardly genes that lead people to give up their jeans and wear a skirt.“.
Penn was being interviewed with his daughter, Dylan Penn, to promote his movie ‘Flag Day’ and the media has explained that when he made these statements her daughter remained “calm” and “staring into space.”
