Theatrical release: ‘Spencer’

On February 3, 1913, the Ecuadorian painter Eduardo Kingman was born. Dr. José Carlos Arias, director of the Loja Historical Archive and Academy of History, is one of the scholars of the works of this outstanding creator from Loja, one of the characters remembered in the exhibition I will speak about myself: Loxa, which was open at MAAC and that will soon be inaugurated in Quito.
Children’s drawing and painting contest
The Department of Culture of the Municipality of Guayaquilon the occasion of the celebration of the Ecuadorian Amazon Daywhich is remembered on February 12, develops a Children’s drawing and painting contest. The theme of the contest is animals of the Ecuadorian Amazon. The participating work must be original and unpublished, made on an A3 INEM size cardboard, drawings or paintings that have been awarded in other contests will not be accepted. Participants must be between 6 and 12 years old and live in Guayaquil. The works will be accepted, along with a copy of the participant’s identity card and legal representative and the registration form (available on social networks) until February 5 at the Municipal Museum (Sucre between Chile and Pedro Carbo). The winner will be selected on Friday, February 11, at 10:00, at the opening of the exhibition, and will receive a tablet.
